How we Price

When we price we like to keep it simple, honest and transparent so we can give more accurate quotes and so there’s no surprises midway through a job. We price on a meterage and the rate per metre depends on the type of job we’re doing. Rates are as such:

Farm/ Field walls: Start from £45 per metre square

Garden walls: Start from £60 per metre square

This excludes the cost of the stone which we can source from our suppliers.

The reason for the difference in cost is simply due to the time we spend on each metre. On farm walls we often find our customers priority is on keeping livestock in and so, whilst they still look good and we do still pride ourselves on a beautiful looking job we try to keep it as economical as possible. On the other hand, garden walls are usually more centered around looking their best so we spend more time dressing stone, hence the reason for the difference in cost.

Occasionally, we encounter challenges such as lack of stone to rebuild or lack of suitable foundation stones however these are easy challenges to overcome but they may affect cost.

It is worth noting that there are grants for landowners that can recuperate nearly 80% of our fee per metre if the walls being worked on meet certain requirements. We are more than happy to work with landowners in order to make the grant claims as easy as possible.
